Tessa is a final-year medical student at Monash University, Australia. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD). In 2024, she was selected to complete her Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Honours) at the University of Oxford in medical ethics research at the Uehiro Oxford Institute, under the supervision of Associate Professor Brian D. Earp and Dr Julian Koplin. Her thesis examined the ethical implications of using large language models in substituted medical decision-making. This year, Tessa returns to the Uehiro Oxford Institute to continue this work. Tessa’s research interests include AI ethics, reproductive ethics and population health. Her work bridges clinical practice and academic exploration, focusing on the responsible integrative of new technologies into medical decision-making.
